Westwood schools are some of the best in the country, with some of the highest test scores. Westwood Charter School is almost entirely supported by the local Westwood community and the booster club. This allows for well-run and sophisticated after-school programs and activities.

While Westwood has always been known for its movie theaters and its gala movie premieres, the local restaurant scene is also world class with numerous new restaurants added in recent years.

Higher Education

Since Westwood is immediately adjacent to UCLA, its undergraduate and graduate students plus its large faculty are an integral part of this community. The university offers many cultural and sporting events for the community as well as opportunities for continuing education. World class performing arts is exhibited at Royce Hall as well as several other popular area theaters and performing arts venues.
